The Art of Horizon Forbidden West by Dark Horse is Up for Pre-Order

Dark Horse, an American company known for publishing graphic novels and art books, has been hard at work on its latest project–a 200-plus page hardcover art book for Horizon Forbidden West.

The Art of Horizon Forbidden West contains over 200 pages of breathtaking visuals, from concept art to the finished product, with commentary by Guerrilla’s Art Team along the way. This book delves deeps into the Horizon lore and fleshes out the experience beyond the game. The Art Director at Guerrilla states in the book’s foreword:

Concept art is the plucky first step we take into the unknown regions of Aloy’s world…It’s a process of discovery. The paintings are ambitious, beautiful, and full of imagination. They’re grand in their scale and clever in their detail

Dark Horse will publish both a Standard and Deluxe edition, retailing at $49.99 USD and $99.99 USD, respectively. What’s the difference? The Deluxe edition is bound with a gold hardcover, has “gallery-quality print folio”, and comes with a Far Zenith-inspired slipcase.

Pre-orders are available today. The Art of Horizon Forbidden West will launch at retailers on 04/26/2023.
