Capcom Fills Out Street Fighter 6 Roster with Three Additions

Capcom announced the final three additions to the launch roster of the upcoming Street Fighter 6, mixing returning and new fighters.

The announcement of the additions of Cammy, Lily, and Zangief came during the Feb, 23 edition of Sony’s State of Play. Street Fighter 6 is slated to launch on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on June 2.

Capcom announced the three fighters during a gameplay that showcased each character and their fighting style.

The first fighter Capcom featured was Zangief, who debuted as a member of the World Warriors in Street Fighter II. Zangief is a Russian wrestler who was the first grappler in Street Fighter history.

Many of Zangief’s old moves will return in this iteration of Street Fighter, but the trailer did showcase a new move called Tundra Storm. This move is a counter to grounded kicks, resulting in a throw.

A new character joining the roster is Lily, a descendent of the Thunderfoot tribe. Fellow Street Fighter character T. Hawk also hails from the Thunderfoot tribe.

Lily is small in stature but utilizes two war clubs as a way to harness nature and increase her strength. She utilizes several special moves as well as a unique one called Condor Wind that powers her special moves.

Another returning fighter from Street Fighter II is Cammy, a member of the British special force group called Delta Red. Her combat style hails back to her original moves with a few added twists.

Some of her heavy moves can be delayed to change their properties and damages. Cammy also utilizes several kinds of throws in her overall assault.

These additions join a roster that consists of Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, Jamie, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, Ken, Blanka, Dhalsim, E. Honda, Dee Jay, Manon, Marisa, and JP. The game will feature various modes including Versus Battles, Extreme Battles, Training, World Tour, and many others.
