Owlcat Games released a location trailer for the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. It takes you on a tour of some of the environments players can visit, including the player’s ship, the Imperium city much of the alpha takes place in, and what seems to be Commorragh, the dreaded home of the Dark Eldar.
Owlcat Games previously developed Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. This is the first classically styled CRPG set in Warhammer 40k. However, unlike previous titles, it does not use real time with pause combat. Instead, combat encounters play out like modern strategy games (such as Firaxis’ X-COM games).
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is currently available for pre-order from Owlcat Games. Some tiers provide alpha or beta access, which is via Steam. Pre-ordered copies will ultimately be available via Steam, GOG, and Epic Game Store. It remains to be seen if the game will release on console, like Owlcat Games’ Pathfinder games.
