Babylon 5: The Road Home Releases First Trailer

Warner Bros. Animation has released the first trailer for Babylon 5: The Road Home.

As previously reported, the classic science fiction television series Babylon 5 is returning with an animated feature film starring the original cast and written and produced by the original creator, J. Michael Straczynski.

Taking place after the original series, the film sees John Sheridan ripped out of his home timeline by an experiment gone wrong, and fighting through alternate possibilities to make his way home.

Straczynski promises that that audiences do not need to have seen the original series to enjoy this film.

The returning cast members include Bruce Boxleitner as John Sheridan, Claudia Christian as Susan Ivanova, Peter Jurasik as Londo Mollari, Bill Mumy as Lennier, Tracy Scoggins as Elizabeth Lochley, and Patricia Tallman as Lyta Alexander.

New cast members include Paul Guyet as Zathras and Jeffery Sinclair, Anthony Hansen as Michael Garibaldi, Phil LaMarr as Dr. Stephen Franklin, Andrew Morgado as G’Kar, and Rebecca Riedy as Delenn. Additional parts include Piotr Michael as David Sheridan and Mara Junot as Reporter and Computer Voice.

The film is directed by Matt Peters, best known for directing a number of the DC Comics animated films including DC Showcase: Constantine – The House of Mystery and Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. Rick Morales is supervising producer. Sam Register is an executive producer on the project.

The film will be available in Digital, 4K UHD and Blu-ray on August 15, 2023.
