FX has officially announced the highly anticipated release date for the upcoming installment of the spine-chilling anthology series American Horror Story. Creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are set to unleash the twelfth season, aptly titled AHS: Delicate, on Wednesday, September 20th, as revealed on X, formerly recognized as Twitter.
Eager fans can look forward to the new season being served in two parts. The first part of American Horror Story: Delicate will comprise five episodes, with the second part scheduled for its premiere in 2024. The eerie saga will unfold on FX every Wednesday, followed by next-day streaming access on Hulu.
A star-studded cast, including Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, and Emma Roberts, is taking center stage in this chilling narrative.
The inception of American Horror Story by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk dates back to 2011; and since then, this limited series has been reshaping the horror landscape. From a haunting asylum to a bewitched coven, a macabre freak show, a ghostly hotel, and even an apocalyptic scenario, the show’s various chapters have consistently redefined fear. This critically acclaimed franchise, the Emmy and Golden Globe awards recipient, has etched its mark in FX’s history as the longest-running hour-long series. It has enthralled audiences with eleven captivating installments and has already secured renewal for a thirteenth chapter.
With showrunner Halley Feiffer at the helm, this season unveils a tale that reimagines classic horror themes through a feminist lens. Drawing inspiration from “Rosemary’s Baby,” the season draws parallels with Danielle Valentine’s gripping novel Delicate Condition. This literary influence follows the story of a woman who grows increasingly convinced that a sinister force is orchestrating a vicious campaign to sabotage her pregnancy.
The ensemble cast for season twelve is nothing short of extraordinary, featuring the likes of Zachary Quinto, the dynamic Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, the charismatic Matt Czuchry, the alluring Annabelle Dexter-Jones, the enigmatic Odessa A’zion, and the esteemed Debra Monk and Julie Monk.
