The team behind The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind modding project Tamriel Rebuilt has released the 7th expansion to the 22 year old project.
With over one hundred quests and 9 faction quest lines, the new expansion, called Andaram, brings the total number of unique quests in Tamriel Rebuilt to over six hundred, which surpasses the amount of quests in the original The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and its expansions. The release also features more than thirty new dungeons and 2 new biomes to explore, and introduces a new dungeon type. The new content is spread across both new and old areas.
The expansion is centered on a section of land around the middle Thirr River, and the dark secrets which lie under its waters. It also introduces a new dungeon type: the twisted and alien Dreugh Citadel for players to explore.
This release comes less than a year after Morrowind: Tamriel Rebuilt’s previous release, which marks Andaram as the fastest ever turn-around between releases for the modding project.
Tamriel Rebuilt is older than The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, starting in a game forum in 2001 by a user under the alias Ender. It was a response to the announcement from Bethesda that then-upcoming The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind would not contain the entire province, but merely the island of Vvardenfell. In the more than twenty years since, the project has been kept going by a volunteer force of more than 200 developers, modders, and contributors.
Players can access the mod on the Tamriel Rebuilt website.
