Today, Honkai: Star Rail broadcasted their Version 1.6 Livestream. With all new characters and events, players were greatly surprised by one particular announcement made during the livestream. HoYoverse will be giving all players who have played through Trailblaze Mission “The Blue — A Moment of Peace” and unlocked the mail function the limited five-star character, Dr. Ratio.
As a result of winning Best Mobile Game of the Year at The Game Awards, iPhone Game of the Year, and Google Play’s Best of 2023 Best Game, HoYoverse will be giving out Dr. Ratio to all players for free.
Players can claim this new, five-star character starting Version 1.6 up until Version 2.1.
Dr. Ratio is an Imaginary-type character who follows the Path of the Hunt. Because his path is that of the Hunt, he is a single-target attack character. His kit greatly utilizes follow-up attacks that get stronger with the amount of debuffs placed on the enemies. He launches a follow-up attack after his Skill has been used as well as any enemy afflicted with Wise Man’s Folly as a result of being hit with his Ultimate.
In my opinion, this character seems like a great damage dealing character. There are a lot of Relics and Ornaments in the game that greatly amplify the power of follow-up attacks, and there are a lot of enemies who are weak to Imaginary types. Furthermore, to any new players joining the game, a five-star character is a great asset to a team with having overall better stats compared to four-star characters.
Imaginary-type characters are still one of the fewer types that is available to players. Getting a free Imaginary-type character would be a great boon to many players who skipped out on banners with this type.
