The Cozy Gaming Community continues to grow stronger, and a wave of new games has captivated both seasoned players and newcomers. Amid the influx of releases, I managed to narrow down my top 10 favorites from the games I’ve played this year.

10. Fabledom: Medieval Dream Town Builder

Fabledom on PC resembles the nostalgic city-building simulators of yesteryears, offering a relaxed experience set in a fairy tale medieval world. With no disasters ruining your progress, watching your town expand is a delight. The game’s graphics suit its vibe well, but it can be a bit slow at times. Available on Steam in Early Access.

9. Mineko’s Night Market: Relaxing Japanese Adventure

This narrative-driven adventure game blends Japanese influences in a new village where you unravel mysteries, craft items, and enjoy the company of cats. Hand-drawn graphics make it appealing. Playable on PC and Switch, but check for updates, especially on the Switch.

8. Smushi Come Home: Cute Exploration Game

This charming, short adventure on Switch and PC involves guiding Smushi home through various challenges. With adorable graphics and simple gameplay suitable for all ages, it’s an enjoyable experience.

7. Sticky Business: Casual Sticker Shop Simulator

Run your sticker shop, design stickers, and fulfill orders in this visually appealing, stress-free game. The colorful graphics and cute designs make it addictive and enjoyable.

6. Lakeburg Legacies: Medieval Dating Sim

Manage relationships and village affairs in this medieval dating simulator. While it’s not perfect and has some complex interfaces, the gameplay offers fun interactions and storylines.

5. Dordogne: Emotional Narrative Game

This narrative-driven game explores themes of grief and memory. The storyline is touching, with enjoyable mini-games and exploration, perfect for a relaxed gaming session.

4. Fae Farm: Engaging Farming Sim

While not perfect, Fae Farm offers diverse activities like farming, crafting, and combat. The game’s aesthetics and activities make it a worthwhile farming simulator.

3. Coral Island: Tropical Farming Sim

With diverse characters, engaging festivals, and tropical vibes, Coral Island is a farming sim staple. Its storyline and activities keep the game fresh and enjoyable.

2. Palia: Cozy MMO Simulator

Palia, an open-world MMO, offers a range of activities like crafting, fishing, and questing. Despite some bugs, it’s an enjoyable game, especially when played with friends.

1. Roots of Pacha: Prehistoric Farming Joy

Set in the Stone Age, this pixelated farming sim stands out with unique features like taming animals and puzzles. The game offers a relaxed and engaging experience, making it a standout for 2023.
