A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about Vindicated Entertainment’s newest game, Truck-Kun: An Isekai Board Game, which launched on Kickstarter on April 10th. Now here we are, not even a day into the campaign, and the game has already been funded. Not only is that good news in a vacuum, but it means that there’s a whole month to hit those stretch goals.
For those that need it, here’s a quick refresher. Vindicated Entertainment is a company that specializes in tabletop games inspired by Japanese media. Truck-Kun is a competitive (or cooperative) board game for ages 14 and up inspired by the Isekai subgenre, stories which involve characters being sent to another world. The game involves randomly generated settings, a variety of ways to outmaneuver other players, and a special mode where everyone cooperates against a special “boss” character.
Truck-Kun has already reached its initial funding goal of $500. Of the currently revealed stretch goals, at $750 the cards will be given UV coating for improved durability, and at $1,250 dollars new boss cards for the game’s cooperative mode will be made. The rest of the stretch goals can’t be seen yet, but if the game keeps up its current rate of funding, they’ll be hit in no time.
