Narrative Adventure, Until Then, Finally Has a Release Date

2–3 minutes

Polychroma Games, the developer behind Until Then, finally has a release date! They are working with publisher Maximum Entertainment to bring us the narrative adventure this summer on June 25th, 2024.

In a world still recovering from catastrophe, Mark Borja and his friends navigate the joys and woes of another year of high school. Wake up in a typical teenage bedroom, practice piano, race to meet homework deadlines, and build (and burn) relationships, as you reminisce about the daily insecurities of high school life.

That is, until a fateful meeting sets off a chain reaction, upending Mark’s life. People disappear and memories prove unreliable. Uncover a hidden truth with Mark and his friends in this narrative adventure and race to unravel the mystery before it’s too late.

Features include:

  • Experience deep themes – Loss, love, friendship. These are all things we go through. With Until then, you can decide how Mark handles issues in these areas throughout the story.
  • Immersion through a unique art style– Warm colors and hand-drawn pixel art will draw you into Mark’s journey, especially with careful attention to detail with reflections, lighting, and shadows.
  • Minigames galore – There’s something charming about playing minigames that would be otherwise considered mundane in real life. Take time to veer off the heavy storyline and play some minigames.
  • “Choose your own adventure” – In this game, you can interact with the world’s characters to converse via email, text, or in person. How you interact with them will further influence how the story unfolds.
  • Modern technology integrated into gameplay – As hinted above, the devs integrated technology to give Until Then a modern feel. You have your own smart phone to scroll through social media and more.
  • Philippine setting and cultural influence – Until Then gives us a refreshing Philippine-inspired setting to explore.

The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam at $19.99 USD.
