A Quiet Place Video Game Gets its Trailer

Saber Interactive has published a teaser trailer for their upcoming video game A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, scheduled to release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S later this year.

The game is set in the same universe as the hit 2018 horror film A Quiet Place, directed by and starring The Office star John Krasinski.

The franchise focuses on the invasion of Earth by sightless aliens that rely on their exceptional hearing to track and kill the human population.

The first movie was followed up by a sequel, A Quiet Place Part II, in March 2020, with a prequel film A Quiet Place: Day one set for release later this month on June 28.

A video game set in the film’s world was first announced back in October 2021, which was then said to tell an “untold story of survival in the A Quiet Place universe.”

The latest trailer hints at a first person view for the game, but stops short of confirming any sort of VR experience. Many fans have voiced that utilization of your device’s microphone would also add to the gameplay and immersion, but Saber Interactive has not confirmed any such feature as of yet.

With a release date set for later this year, we can definitely expect more definitive answers and a full gameplay trailer in the coming weeks and months.

Saber Interactive was founded in 2001 and is currently a part of the Swedish studio Embracer Group. They have a long history of creating a diverse library of games, including several Halo remasters, the Switch version of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, NBA Playgrounds, Road Redemption, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, Vampyr, Evil Dead: The Game, Gloomhaven, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Currently, Saber Interactive is tied to the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, as well as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Rails of Fury: Train Defence, and several other games that do not have set release dates.
