Fallout London, Team FOLON’s ambitious total overhaul mod for Fallout 4, requires alternate steps to install and play than many other mods for Bethesda games.
First and foremost, the mod is intended for the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 4, and you may experience problems trying to run it within the standard edition.
To begin, you must download the mod from GOG. The classic game storefront agreed to host the mod due to its size.
Installing Fallout London via GOG
It is relatively straightforward to install the mod via GOG.
- Install the English version of Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition via GOG GALAXY and disable your cloud saves.
- Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
- Follow the the further instructions in the launcher.
From there, you should be all set.
Installing Fallout London via Steam
Installing the mod via steam requires several extra steps, as Fallout 4 must be downgraded to the proper patch.
- Download the developer’s downgrader mod from Nexus Mods, and run the program to reset Fallout 4 to the proper patch.
- Manually download the Fallout London mod from GOG.
- From there, follow the instructions as outlined in the launcher.
- Ensure that cloud saves and automatic updates are disabled before playing.
