Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tushima, is set to arrive in 2025. The open world stealth action game is set nearly 400 years after the first time, during the Edo period, in which Japan slowly begins to open to the west.
The trailer immediately opens on black and white vistas, caught with a traditional eye for the camera. It seems likely that the Kurosawa mode, which cast the game in the dynamic black and white visuals of the director of films like Seven Samurai and The Forbidden Fortress,
From there, the trailer displays the action and vibrant, real-world-inspired landscapes surrounding Mount Yōtei. The year is 1603, and a new Ghost named Atsu sets out.
Ghost of Yōtei is slated for 2025.
