Cricket: Jae’s Really Peculiar Game is launching on Xbox platforms on December 3rd, 2024. Additionally, a demo for the game is currently live on Xbox platforms platforms, as well as the Nintendo Switch.
Developed by Studio Kumiho and published by PM Studios, Cricket: Jae’s Really Peculiar Game was initially released on September 19th, 2024.

It combines JRPG mechanics with visuals inspired by Saturday morning cartoons to offer a unique adventure as Jae and his friends try to reach the land of Yimmelia, where they can have a wish granted, or so the legends say. It features reflex-based combat that provides a twist on traditional turn-based affairs, and has a diverse and large cast of characters.
Cricket: Jae’s Really Peculiar Game is available now on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam for $24.99.
In our review for the game we noted that while Cricket: JRPG “adopts elements of the genre’s past that many modern JRPGs have left behind” it is nevertheless “a wonderful game” and “a love letter to the genre.”
