Solo Developer Kristoffer Knesl and Publisher Iceberg Interactive announced Radiolight, which they described as an “atmospheric thriller.”
Set in 1980’s America, players will control Ethan, a police officer in the isolated town of Ashwood Creek. As Ethan investigates the case of a missing teenager with help from his police chief Robert, the investigation will take him deep into the realm of mystery, as he explores the dark forests of Ashwood Creek National Park.
Radiolight is an investigative thriller in which players will be solving mysteries tinged with the supernatural, while exploring the “serene yet unsettling” Ashwood Creek National Park. The game features graphics distinctly stylized to draw upon nostalgia for the 1980’s, which may be some comfort as players get to the truth of Radiolight’s central mystery equipped only with a radio and a walkie-talkie.
Radiolight is solely developed by Krystof Knesl, who has authored a number of game jam titles such as This World’s End and Lights Out. He strives to make games that are atmospheric and story-oriented, and Radiolight showcases an attempt that “blurs the lines between the natural and supernatural”.
Radiolight can be wishlisted on Steam. A release date has yet to be announced.
