The 2024 Bossies, the second annual presentation of the awards, has its nominees for Best Action-Adventure Game.

The Bossies is an award show the Boss Rush Network hosts that is a celebration of video games and entertainment. The event is not beholden to announcements and trailers, rather votes come directly from the community.

The award show aims to feature games and entertainment that deserves recognition as the Boss Rush team highlights the best of the year, including content the industry may have overlooked.

Furthermore, the Boss Rush team has partnered many from around the industry who are big fans of gaming and entertainment. These include Indie developers, game publishers, and content creators.

The 2024 Bossies nominations for Best Action-Adventure Game are:

Batman: Arkham Shadow by Camouflaj: Batman: Arkham Shadow is the second virtual reality in the Arkham series and the seventh spinoff title in the franchise. It is the narrative sequel to Batman: Arkham Origins, taking place six months after the events of that game. Batman must stop Rat King before he destroys Gotham on the Fourth of July.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle by MachineGames: Set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, Indiana Jones seeks to stop various groups coveting the power of the Great Circle. The game is set in numerous real-world locations such as Vatican City, Thailand, Egypt, and Shanghai, China.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown by Ubisoft: This game was the first mainline Prince of Persia release since 2010’s The Forgotten Sands. The 2.5D side-scrolling adventure with Metroidvania elements follows Sargon, a young member of The Immortals as he travels to Mount Qaf hoping to rescue the kidnapped prince.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II by Ninja Theory: This direct sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice returns the series to prominence after a seven-year absence. The game embraces a dark fantasy atmosphere set in the 9th Century in Iceland. It draws heavy influence from Norse Mythology as Senua faces Viking marauders in their home country.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom by Grezzo: Princess Zelda takes the spotlight for the first time in the series’ 38-year history. The top-down adventure sees Zelda setting out to save Link and Hyrule with the help of the Tri Rod and a fairy named Tri. The art style continues the trend the franchise began with Link’s Awakening in 2019.

While voting has closed for the 2024 Bossies, you can still tune in on Thursday, Jan. 16 to see which game takes home the award. The event starts at 8:30 p.m. EST with a pre-show while the main event begins at 9 p.m. EST. Catch the event on YouTube.
