Suit up as HYPER UNIT ASKA in This Adrenaline Packed Sci-Fi FPS, Metal Eden

2–3 minutes

Part of Sony’s State of Play lineup included the reveal a new DOOM-esque sci-fi FPS called Metal Eden coming to PC and consoles on May 6th.

Metal Eden is being developed by a studio based in Warsaw, Poland called Reikon Games, the makers of 2017’s Ruiner, and published by Deep Silver, the publishers behind popular games series such as Saints Row, Payday 3, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

According to Metal Eden’s Steam page, the player assumes of the role of one “HYPER UNIT ASTA”, an advanced battle android as she embarks on a, “…suicide mission to rescue citizens’ COREs from MOEBIUS, an orbital city turned into a deadly trap”.

Based on trailer footage and additional information from the Steam page, there seems to be more than meets the eye as ASTA dives into the games’ mysteries. Players will engage in cybernetic warfare against machines that guard secrets of a world unseen.

Players will be able to dash, grapple, and wall-run through this metal city with DOOM-inspired mechanics in this adrenaline filled laser-light show.

For additional information about Metal Eden, check out the official Steam page for an in-depth look to the strange new world of Vulcan, and the abandoned monolithic city of MOBEIUS.
