Who knew physics could be so fun? Loosely inspired by the String Theory, this indie title takes you through a cozy, adorable journey as three humble…and stringy…heroes.
Strings Theory is a level-based puzzle game in an isometric perspective. Fifty levels to be exact. You play alone or in a three-person coop as these strings as you traverse a microcosm. As you navigate an Anomaly, you leverage your character’s skills to collect quanta of energy and reach the next level via a wormhole.
As mentioned before, you can control up to three string characters–Isaac, Telly, and Twin, that have their own unique abilities. One is powerful enough to knock down barriers, another can swap above and below tile surfaces, and yet another can split into two. You can only control one at a time, and each movement counts.

What I loved about playing Strings Theory is that it emulates the “easy to play, difficult to master” concept. I was able to accomplish several levels with relative ease without collecting every single energy, but I felt compelled to retry them to 100% it. When I failed a level, the characters respond with positive messages, and I am encouraged to try again.
Another stand out of the game is its music. It is one you can vibe out to, and it further sucks you into level, enhancing the immersion. I didn’t want to stop! Strings Theory is the kind of game that focuses in on the small, simplistic things that make you feel you are working toward something greater.

Strings Theory is made by Beautiful Bee, a small indie team based in Poland and part of the Official Polish Booth. It is already available on Steam; however, Beautiful Bee has aligned its console release date with day one of PAX East! Yes, it is available now on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One/Series.
