A trailer for Capcom’s latest IP, Pragmata, dropped during Summer Game Fest 2025, confirming that their project continues to move forward. In the June 26th Capcom Spotlight, the stream kicked off with more details on this epic sci-fi action adventure.

The story of Pragmata surrounds protagonist Hugh Williams (your typical handsome, snarky-yet-softie type), who travels in a team to investigate what happened at a lunar research facility that seemed to have lost all contact. This massive site was established to research novel material that could allow mankind to 3D-print just about anything. However, Hugh and the team quickly realize there are no signs of human life. All that remains are artificial intelligence, and they must find out what happened.

During the mission, Hugh is injured and separated from his team after a lunar quake, and it is an AI in the form of a young girl, that rescues him. After naming the AI Diana, the two set off the return back to Earth. However, they encounter several hostile entities are they traverse the research facility.

What makes Pragmata stand out is the combination of combat and puzzle-solving. Enemies all have armor that Diana must hack into before Hugh can cause any damage. The hacking appears as a panel in your UI, and the more blue panels you pass through, the more of an advantage you have. From there, it will be up to the player to strategize their gameplay based on the number and type of enemies they encounter.

Capcom also announced that the game will be available to demo at Gamescom this year. Until then, every can expect Pragmata to release sometime next year on Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series. They promise to share more information as the release date draws near.
