Nintendo has announced it will discontinue its Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers program on January 30, 2026.

This program was introduced in 2019 and allowed users to buy two digital vouchers for $99.99, which could be redeemed for select full-priced Nintendo Switch titles—often providing a consumer-friendly cost-saving alternative to buying games individually.
The FAQ on Nintendo’s website states that Switch Game Vouchers will remain available for purchase until January 30, 2026. Each voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, so any bought on the final day will still be usable through January 30, 2027. While new voucher sales will end after that date, existing vouchers will remain valid until their individual expiration dates.
Nintendo also confirmed that new games will continue to be added to the list of eligible titles even after sales end. This means players can still redeem their vouchers on future releases. However, since vouchers are non-refundable, users are encouraged to use them before they expire.
Have you ever used the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers program? Will you be loading up on Vouchers before they go away? Let us know in the comments or in our Discord.
