Limited Run has been known for its motto, Forever Physical. Whether it’s collaborating with an indie developer or reviving classics with their Carbon Engine, the team behind the company has pledged their allegiance to gaming for ten whole years.
The company launched in 2015, and now they are holding a celebration at their brick-and-mortar location in Cary, North Carolina. This store opened in April 2022 and is still a hot spot for gaming enthusiasts today. With over 1,000 physical games published, from Blasphemous to the Castlevania Advance Collection, Limited Run has thrived as a company and is even expanding its reach to video game-themed books with Press Run.
The Limited Run 10th Anniversary will be from 10AM to 8PM EST on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, and will feature lots of cool and fun events and special guests. The first 150 people to enter the store will receive some swag, containing exclusive goodies such as an ultra-rare cover variant of Shantae Risky Revolution for the Nintendo Switch. In addition to giveaways every hour, a person who spends $250 USD will have a chance to enter their physical vault to pick one game for free. Why is this so special? The vault will contain at least ONE of every Limited Run numbered release!

There will also be a plethora of special guests, including:
- Yuzo Koshiro: Director and composer of Earthion and Streets of Rage
- Mitsuhiro Arita: Marvel Comics and Pokémon illustrator
- Justin Silverman: Creative director/producer at Cinemassacre and Retroware.
- Jeremy Parish: Head of Limited Run’s Press Run
- Seth Fulkerson: Director/creator of Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore and head of Seedy Eye Software
It’s truly a celebration that elevates a love for all things gaming.

I’ve had to pleasure speaking with the wonderful folks at Limited Run at PAX East in Boston, MA. We were able to talk about upcoming releases like the Gex: Trilogy, bringing retro games to life with their Carbon Engine, and their approach to physicals with the Switch 2.
If you’re unable to attend this event, don’t fret. Boss Rush Network will provide coverage of their 10th Anniversary celebration and additional information about Limited Run’s projects.
