Mob Entertainment is celebrating a record-breaking launch for Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 – Broken Things, the latest installment in its episodic horror franchise, following strong sales and critical praise during its debut week.
The fifth chapter in the Poppy Playtime series launched just over a week ago and quickly climbed to the top of Steam’s Global Top Sellers chart, holding the number one position for more than a full day after release. According to the studio, day-one sales reached 175,000 units, making it the highest-performing launch in the franchise’s history. The game also became the most-watched title on Twitch during its launch window and currently maintains a “Very Positive” user rating on Steam across more than 2,400 player reviews.
To mark the milestone, Mob Entertainment released an accolades trailer showcasing praise from critics and players.
In Chapter 5 – Broken Things, players venture deeper into the Playtime Co. factory as they confront the mysterious force known as The Prototype. The chapter introduces new GrabPack tools and abilities, environmental puzzles, and expanded exploration areas. Familiar threats, including Huggy Wuggy and the factory’s security systems, return as players uncover more about the company’s dark history.

The game is available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Console versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms are scheduled to release later this year.
Mob Entertainment also announced the launch of a new official webstore featuring Poppy Playtime merchandise and collectibles.
