During Tuesday’s “The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Direct,” the Japanese game publisher revealed several new collectibles and merchandise are on the way to help fans celebrate the milestone.
Chief among the goodies is a new LEGO set featuring the franchise’s protagonist Link riding atop his famed mount, Epona.
Inspired by the Nintendo 64 classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the LEGO set will include a 1,750 pieces, and is described as being a “collectible display model for adults.” The set arrives in spring 2027.
Two new ocarinas are also on the way, both inspired by the titular Ocarina of Time. Available on the Nintendo Store will be a fully playable ocarina for fans who want an authentic experience, while a HORI branded electric ocarina–which can play notes or songs at the press of a button–will be hitting retailers at a later date.
Two new amiibo figurines were also revealed based on the upcoming Ocarina of Time Remake. These include statues for Young Link and Young Zelda, both of which are depicted sitting while playing with Navi the fairy and grasping the ocarina, respectively. Nintendo also reminded fans that the previously announced amiibo for Mineru’s Construct, based on a character from Tears of the Kingdom, will soon arrive on September 17.
Nintendo lastly unveiled that Hasbro will be releasing an Electronic Master Sword, set for release in spring 2027. The device measures 27 inches long, with more than 15 touch-and-motion-activated sounds, allowing wielders to feel like they are really carrying the blade of legend.
This was accompanied by a graphic of the previously announced “Heroes of Hyrule Figure Collection,” which is also set to hit store shelves next spring. The three planned figures include Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf based on their appearance in Tears of the Kingdom. All three collectibles are currently available for pre-order.
