Nintendo Switch Update May Lead To New Features For Rumored Switch Pro

Nintendo’s latest 12.0.0 update may have good news for gamers hoping to see a Switch Pro in the future. Dataminer OatmealDome has found references pertaining to unannounced features like Bluetooth Audio and possibly a 4K Dock.

In the recent update for the current Switch, the system has received a patch that fixes a bug for save data backup. While searching the list, OatmealDome spotted that the firmware added audio to the Bluetooth Driver in the Switch. Although it isn’t live or functional at the moment, there is a possibility of using this feature sometime in the year.

With the help of another dataminer, Hexkys, OatmealDome found that the rumored Switch Pro Dock could possibly have a 4K display port output in its internal setting. He points to ‘4kdp_preferred_over_usb30’ in the patch notes.

OatmealDome also notes the “is_crda_fw_update_supported,” which could mean Cradle (Dock) for Aula. Aula is rumored to be the codename for the new model.

If all this happens to be true, the Switch Pro could be expensive in price. We’ll have to see what Nintendo announces, but imagine hearing the Breath Of The Wild 2 soundtrack in some nice stereo headphones while seeing it in glorious 4K beauty.
