Fans of dinosaurs will get a new opportunity to interact with the prehistoric creatures again later this year with the announcement of Jurassic World Evolution 2.
The game was unveiled by iconic actor Jeff Goldblum during a presentation at today’s Summer Game Fest. Goldblum is noteworthy for having starred in the classic film Jurassic Park as Dr. Ian Malcom, and has reprised the role multiple times, including the 2018 simulation game Jurassic World Evolution.
Little is known about the newly announced title, but the short reveal trailer features herds of dinosaurs roaming open plains and aquatic creatures swimming deep underwater, things mostly missing from the original game.
Although no actual gameplay was shown, the trailer does indicate that the game will release later this year, so fans likely won’t have to wait long to see more of the title in action.
The original Jurassic World Evolution cast players as the new director for the titular dinosaur themed amusement park, and tasked gamers with equally balancing scientific research, guest entertainment, and overall park security.
You can catch the game later this year on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Game’s store.
