As the clock counted down the minutes until the developer’s main event, Communications Coordinator at Ubisoft, Mathieu Bardot, introduced three indie games and the studios the company has been supporting.
The first game is Dorfromantik by Toukan Interactive, an Ubisoft’s Entrepreneurs Indie Camp winner. You create an ever-growing environment by placing tiles in this relaxing puzzle and strategy game. While many don’t associate puzzle and strategy as relaxing, Dorfromantik invites players to immerse themselves in a world where they create the perfect, idyllic landscape. Dorfromantik is available on Microsoft Windows for early release and plans a full release later in 2021 that will include the Nintendo Switch and mobile accessibility.
Next up is Bravery Network Online, by GLOAM. This studio won Ubisoft’s 2019 Indie Series (Ubisoft Toronto). In this game, players can challenge other fighters in a turn-based battle system that takes place in a post-apocalypse setting. It is available as early-access now on PC and Mac.
Lastly, Happy Volcano presented their hilarious game, You Suck at Parking. While classified as a racing game, the ultimate goal is to stop, and you guessed it, park your car in the various designated spaces before the allotted time runs out. It is jam-packed with light-hearted fun where players strive to make the leaderboard. The game also features a level editor for those who want to design their own track. You Suck at Parking currently has a demo available .
These three indie titles bring diversity to Ubisoft and E3 2021. Is there one in particular you’re looking forward too? Let us know if Boss Rush’s E3 Discord channel!
