PlatinumGames revealed new gameplay footage for their long-awaited upcoming action title, Babylon’s Fall.
First announced in 2018 at Square Enix’s E3 conference and confirmed then for both PlayStation 4 and PC, there hadn’t been much news regarding the next title (that wasn’t named Bayonetta) from award-winning developer studio PlatinumGames. Today, gamers checking in to Square Enix Presents on E3 finally got their first taste of what the new title will be all about.

Babylon’s Fall is a co-op title that can be played solo or with up to four players and will contain the same brand of high octane melee action you would come to expect from the studio that gave us Vanquish, Astral Chain, and Nier: Automata. The fantasy title will feature characters wielding various types of ranged weapons and boasts a powers and customization system based on special equipment called “the Gideon Coffin” which is worn on your character’s back. The game features a striking brushstroke visual artstyle delivered by the original “Brushwork Filter.”
The developers confirmed that Babylon’s Fall is a live-service title that will feature a range of post-launch game modes at no additional cost. Sign-ups are also taking place for a closed beta, which you can register via the official website.
