Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is clearly winning over fans with it’s amazing gameplay, strong weaponry, and hitting all of the right nostalgia points. As great as all of these things are, the one thing that players have complained about is the lack of playlists for specific modes, particularly Social Slayer and SWAT.
This week, 343 Industries stated that they appreciate everyone’s feedback and that the team is currently “working on plans” to add many of the playlists fans have requested but that it will take some time.
Here is 343i’s Community Manager John Junyszek’s full statement:
Let’s talk about Halo Infinite playlists! We’ve been reading your feedback, and we’re working on plans to add Fiesta, Tactical Slayer (SWAT), and Free-For-All playlists as we speak. They won’t land by Dec 8, but the team is pushing to get them in before the end of year. Our goal for Events is to try new modes prior to adding to playlists. We’ll monitor playlist health after the 3 additions above and adjust our offering if needed, but we’re excited to make these updates before the holidays. This is just the start of the conversation with y’all. A Social Slayer playlist (with multiple variations) is also in the works (we see this request the most), but we won’t be able to get that one ready until after the holidays. We hope you can understand and enjoy the ones that make it in before the team takes a well-deserved break!John Junyszek, Community Manager, 343 Industries
Halo has always been known for its suite of multiplayer playlists, game types, and customization. It really feels like the team is taking the necessary steps to make Halo Infinite one of the best games in the franchise especially for those who still hold Bungie’s games as the pinnacle of the series.
