During CES this week, the director for The Last of Us and newly appointed co-president of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann, came out during Sony’s keynote to discuss his involvement in PlayStation Productions, Sony Pictures, and the Uncharted movie. Though it was more of a promotional stunt than revealing any tangible information, Druckmann did express a lot of enthusiasm for Naughty Dog’s properties hitting the big and small screen, including HBO’s The Last of Us TV series, in which he has co-written and is heavily involved in.
Druckmann closed his segment by revealing that the studio is working on multiple projects for PlayStation, stating “We’re dying to share with you the multiple game projects we have in the works at Naughty Dog.”
We already know Naughty Dog is working on Factions, the standalone multiplayer component for The Last of Us Part II, as well as a heavily rumored remake of the first game. The rerelease of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted Lost Legacy are also being handled by the studio, with imminent releases for both games on January 25, 2022. What would you like to see from Naughty Dog in the future? Do you want more Uncharted or The Last of Us or would you like to see a new IP?
