Launch Your Day With This 8-Bit Cover of Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become one of the titles most synonymous with the Nintendo Switch. Despite lacking some of the history of Nintendo’s other IP’s, AC:NH has sold over 32 million copies—thanks in part to the pandemic and the resurgence of gaming for those stuck at home.

For those who love the game, the music in New Horizons is an inseparable part of the experience. The “8 a.m.” switchover song is a personal favorite. Now thanks to YouTube content creator Loeder, fans can enjoy an 8-bit remix of the iconic song.

Loeder, who operates out of the Netherlands, focuses on retro video game music from a variety of major franchises, including The Legend of Zelda, Cuphead, and Splatoon. Regarding the “8 a.m.” track, Loeder explains, “This theme got my attention when I was watching the Earth Day update video. It’s pretty funky so naturally I had to cover it.”

Tell us what you think! Did you enjoy this cover of music from Animal Crossing: New Horizons? What other songs would you like Loeder to cover? Share your reactions in the comments below or join the discussion over on Boss Rush Discord and Facebook.
