Resident Evil as a series has made a major resurgence with its incredible remakes and its recent encapsulating sequels. Capcom has delivered on all fronts in its recent iterations, respecting what came before while moving the series forward in multiple ways. As it turns out, these games aren’t the only surprises the company has in store.
In a recent Tweet, the Resident Evil Twitter account randomly announced that they are creating native versions of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7: Biohazard for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles. What’s even better? These versions of the games will be absolutely free for those who have purchased the titles already. PC players will also receive these updates. Here is the full Tweet:
This is a welcome surprise, as it makes these incredible survival horror titles even better. Resident Evil VII: Biohazard was released on January 24, 2017 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which was also completely playable in VR on PlayStation. Resident Evil 2 Remake was released on January 25, 2019, with RE3‘s remake coming a little over a year later.
