Resident Evil 4 Remake Trailer Highlights Sony’s State of Play

The trailer showcased numerous characters and moments from the original 2005 game. Some of the characters the trailer featured included protagonist Agen Leon S. Kennedy, antagonist Jack Krauser, and Ashley Graham, among many others.

Another big highlight from the trailer was the showdown between Leon and Jack.

The trailer also revealed that a demo is on the way ahead of the March 24 release on PlayStation 4 and 5. The game will also release on Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.

Along with the showcase, Capcom also announced a free pack of downloadable content, which will be available after the game launches. This DLC pack is called The Mercenaries and is a recurring extra game mode that has appeared in past Resident Evil titles.

Resident Evil 4 centers on Leon as he is a special agent that reports directly to the President of the U.S. Leon is on a mission to track down the president’s kidnapped daughter Ashley and return her to safety from a secluded European village.

This game is Capcom’s fourth modern remake of past Resident Evil games. Capcom remade the original Resident Evil (1996) in 2002 while following up with Resident Evil 2 (1998) and Resident Evil 3 (1999) in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

This release of the Resident Evil 4 remake also comes amid the addition of Resident Evil 7 biohazard to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus earlier this month.
