Devolver Digital rounded out the 2022 Summer Game Fest with a unique and quirky showcase. Their high octane performance by the company execs was infused with several game trailers of titles dropping this year and beyond. Let’s take a look:
Cult of the Lamb
Although we have seen trailers of this beloved cult-starting sheep before, Devolver gives us more gameplay and a launch date of August 11th. You must fortify your cult by attracting followers, dispelling false prophets, and building your community. You can pre-order and play the demo on Steam. Cult of the Lamb will also launch on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
Anger Foot
Anger Foot gives us a little bit of Hotline Miami nostalgia in this loud, neon-colored, first person, beat-em-up. You stomp your way through several levels and taking down baddies. Anger Foot can be wishlisted now on Steam.
Card Shank
Use your wit and cunning in order to win your way through card games in 18th century France. All the while, you uncover a deep mystery… Sound familiar? Card Shank is available already on PC and the Nintendo Switch.
The Plucky Squire
The Plucky Squire presents itself with a gorgeous art-style and unique gameplay. You control a squire named Jot who adventures his way through his story book; however, he stumbles upon a 3D world where everything changes. The Plucky Squire will release on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. While there is no release date, you can wishlist it on Steam.
Skate Story
Last, but not least, we have Skate Story by Sam Eng. With a bright, unique art-style and catchy music, you skate your way as a demon made of glass and pain through the underworld. When you crash, you shatter! You can wish list Skate Story on Steam.
Devolver Digital has stocked their pipeline with unique and creative games for players to enjoy and was a welcome addition to the Summer Game Fest.
