There may be some unannounced projects heading gamers’ ways as both Konami and Atlus hint at what the future may hold for each company.
Both Konami and Atlus provided brief updates as part of Famitsu’s compilation of comments from developers and publishers to kick-off 2023. Neither company provided extensive detail except for the tease of future unannounced titles.
Atlus offered thanks to players for their support for the Nintendo Switch remasters of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Soul Hackers 2, and Persona 5 Royal. It also looked ahead to the releases of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on the Switch.
After this gratitude, Atlus said it is “preparing unreleased new titles” and wants players to “please look forward to it,” according to a Google translation of the original Japanese comments.

As for Konami, the company wished players well in the new year and said 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit, according to the Chinese zodiac. As such, Konami said it is “planning power-ups and new developments for our well-known series,” according to a translation from Noisy Pixel.
Additionally, the company also said it has “yet to announce new projects to you that are also quietly underway.”
Both companies have been pretty active in recent years. Atlus listed its release slate from 2022 and the early part of this year.
Konami recently released its Castlevania Advance Collection in 2021 for the Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This collection featured Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, and Castlevania: Dracula X.
This is a great example of a company giving the smallest sliver of information and everyone running with it. There is no definitive list or hint of what is to come, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation.
It will be exciting to see what is to come from either company, regardless if it’s remasters or new titles.
