The London-based developer poncle released the second DLC expansion to Vampire Survivors for PC and Xbox. “Tides of the Foscari” takes players to a magical school divided into three hours where the world’s elites train their children to be wizards, generals, and spies. As the developer jokingly promises, this is, “a premise hitherto untouched in all of fantasy fiction.”
This DLC features a new large map with different enemies spawning in different zones, eight new playable characters, thirteen new weapons and evolutions, seven new songs, and twenty-one new achievements.
Vampire Survivors exploded onto the scene two years ago, with a base game deeply inspired by Castlevania, weird NES-era localizations, and the gothic/weird horror of the early 1900s. The first DLC, “Legacy of the Moonspell,” took significant inspiration from Japanese folklore and anime. “Tides of the Foscari” takes after classic fantasy adventure games and RPGs and house-based magic schools.
Vampire Survivors and its DLCs remain on significant discount until April 27, 2023.
