How do You Feel About the Recent DC Anime?

Tappei Nagatsuki, author of ReZero, is a part of Wit Studio. The animators of Vinland Saga are working together to make the Suicide Squad ISEKAI Anime for DC. Additionally, My Adventures With Superman has started airing on Adult Swim with episodes available to stream next day on MAX.

The story of Suicide Squad ISEKAI lives up to the isekai (fish out of water) part of its title. It appears as though some members of the Suicide Squad are teleported to medieval times.

A dark fantasy spin on DC characters we already know and love seems like a recipe for success. The storytelling potential is massive as the members of the Suicide Squad will likely have to work together to get back to present day. The art style is exceptional as well. Personally, I’m looking forward to this one.

As for My Adventures With Superman, you can form your own opinion easily because the first episode was already uploaded to Adult Swim’s YouTube channel!

This is a rather wholesome take on Clark Kent. I’m excited to see what this anime has in store. Sailor Moon-esqe transformations and all.

I’m cold on My Adventures with Superman, which leaves behind so much of what makes Clark Kent and Lois Lane three-dimensional characters, but I’m curious what Warner Bros. Japan can do with a concept like the Suicide Squad film.
