In a game where you can fuse just about anything together to get stronger, more durable weapons and shields, perhaps collecting the Hylian shield isn’t as important as it used to be…for some. But if you’re like me, I need to complete Link with his Master Sword and Hylian shield. So, where is the Hylian shield in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
1. Go to the Back of Hyrule Castle
Located in the back are the docks. Find a sail or create your own device to cross the moat, and you will see an opening. Sail there. I pinned the destination in the photo below (-0154, 1157, 0037).

2. Ascend the stairs and fight Gloom Hands
Yes, this thing. I utilized Yunobo’s and Riju’s abilities as well as bomb arrows.

3. Light the big torch
Gloom Hands was guarding something special indeed. You will find a large basin surrounded by lit torches. Light ‘er up!

Once lit, a chest will reveal itself in the room.

Duh nuh nuh nuhhh! You got the Hylian Shield!

Did you obtain the Hylian shield yet? How big are you in collecting franchise favorite items? Please share your thoughts with us on our Boss Rush Facebook Group or our Boss Rush Discord.
