After years of development and a wildly successful Kickstarter, Coral Island released the official version of the game in November.
Along with the traditional aspects of a farming sim, you also have a story line about restoring Starlet Town to its former glory. By starting down this road, you gain the ability to fast travel between select locations.
Just how do you unlock this time-saving ability? Luckily, over the course of the game and completing quests, you’ll be able to do it. With this guide, you’ll know what to look for to be able to streamline the process and gain access that much sooner.
1. Meet Sam
Sam is the owner of the General Store in town. As part of the Main Quest line, you are tasked with meeting him after you plant your first crops.

In my initial play through of the full version of the game, I accidentally delayed myself on this first vital step. I went to see him before I had planted 10 crops.
When you get the prompt in the quest line, go see him during the General Store’s operating hours: 9:00-1700 every day but Sunday which is 12:00-1700 and he is closed on Wednesdays.

This will trigger a cut scene with the mayor and Sam where you get introduced as the new farmer in town.
2. Go to Sleep
After you have that cut scene with Sam, continue about your day as normal. When you head to bed, you are going to find yourself in a cut scene.
In that scene, someone tells you to seek out one of the sacred trees throughout the town and to read the tablet and awaken “them.” You get a shot of the locations of all four trees.

If you haven’t found them yet, one of the easiest to access is the one above Sam’s General Store. There is one in that park.
3. Examine the Tablet
There are tablets in front of the sacred trees and when you read one, a being pops up. When they see you, they run away scared.

You won’t be able to follow them. After the scene continue about your day until you find yourself back in bed.
4. Meet Chieftan
The next morning, you’ll find a letter in your mailbox telling you to come visit Chieftan and he gives you directions. If you follow the path to the West of your hours along the edge of your field, you’ll find yourself close to the right place.

Before this point, there was a broken log blocking off part of an area. When you arrive this time, you’ll see that the bridge is fixed and you are able to cross to a clearing.

Chieftan greets you and tells you that you need to be able to see nature to help the goddess save the island.
After a brief ceremony, you get a notification that you have gained the Third Sight. Chieftan also encourages you to visit her for more information.
5. Meet the Goddess of the Island
Chieftan instructs you to head to the Lake Shrine on the opposite side of the map. You’re going to head to the North-East side of the island and in the park where the festivals are, you’re going to head North. Once you get close, you’ll be pulled into a cut scene.

Here, the Goddess introduces herself and says she does not have a lot of time. She instructs you to make a tribute to one of the shrines in order to gain access to her shrines throughout the island.
6. Make A Tribute To the Shrine
When you first unlock the shrines, only one allows you to make a tribute, the Crop Altar. With you likely still in Spring Year One, there are two bundles that you will be able to do fairly quickly.

Essential Resources
- 10 wood
- 10 stone
- 10 flax
- 5 oak seeds
- 10 sap
- 5 pine cones
- 5 maple seeds
You only need five items to complete the tribute.

Spring Sesajen
- Wasabi
- Morel
- Turnip
- Carrot
- Daisy
Once you put the first tribute in, you get a scene where you are given a elixir to drink (if your character’s reaction is any indication it doesn’t taste good). But once you drink that, you have access to several waypoints.

These give you access to fast travel points. As you complete other tasks, you unlock more shrines.
