Oddshot Games is officially releasing the 1.0 Update of Slapshot: Rebound today as of 12 p.m. EDT. It will be free to download on Steam.
The beloved ice hockey game tells fans to look out for new and exciting features in the update, including the Inaugural Ranked Season where, “Slappers can grind their way to the top and stake a claim in the refreshed Top 50 regional and worldwide leaderboards.” The game will also have daily tasks to help players advance through the Season 1 Pass.
The indie game studio also talked about their custom lobbies, encouraging “Slappers” to “let loose and play a pick-up game with friends or explore game modes like dodgepuck and freeze tag while manipulating settings like gravity and speed for a unique experience.” This can be seen in the release trailer OddShot posted to YouTube.
The physics-based 3v3 ice hockey game has achieved over 1.5 million downloads since its release in 2020. Fans of the game can certainly look forward to more fun in the rink after the update officially comes out on Steam.
