Refind Self: The Personality Test Game is an exploration-based game that is scheduled to land in the Summer 2024 on Nintendo Switch as part of the 2024 Indie World Showcase.
Nintendo has decided to pick up this indie game of discovery for the Switch after it was previously released on Steam, IOS, and Android.
Refind Self, developed by Lizardry Studios and published originally by Playism and localized by Active Gaming Media Inc., explores the life of you, Utsuma, an android created by a doctor who is no longer alive.
With your creator no longer in the picture to tell them who you are, you are left to ponder on questions like:
Who am I?
What should I do?
What is my sin?

Every answer given and choice decided upon reveals who you truly are.
You will adventure to destinations that unlock memories that illuminate who you are. Each character you meet will unveil more of your past and place in the community. Every new discovery shows you what the doctor had in store for the android they created.
The input of your community and surroundings, combined with the outcomes of your decisions guides you to a culmination of results that make up your personality.
Are you a collector? Are you a judge? Or are you a clown?

With 23 different possibilities laid out before you, the incentive to keep coming back to unlock every conceivable facet of your identity as an android is a compelling idea. You can even link up with a friend to see what personality type they are as an android. By sharing results and comparing choices, you can unlock what certain actions on your end say about you.
This text-driven side scrolling adventure is designed with a warm, yellow-toned pallet. Utsuma, your android, will need to have their health monitored and money to operate in the world they reside in.
Puzzles pop up depending on what you interact with, and while darkness might crawl into the caves you explore, Refind Self: The Personality Game includes the pretty chimes of a piano that compliment your surroundings. The simple design of a world where yellow flowers and golden dresses pop against the monochrome backgrounds exudes a cheerful, guiding ambiance.
