If you’re going through a stressful period of life or need a break from the chaos of 2025, chances are you’ve searched for a new cozy game to help you escape and get away from it all.
In fact, Boss Rush Network recently asked for reader suggestions about this very topic:
Recently, one of my children asked me to download Birth, a cozy game from indie developer Madison Karrh. I hopped onto the Nintendo eShop and downloaded the game, which ended up being a great choice. The premise of the game is that you are lonely and want a friend; in a world inhabited by skeleton people, you decide to gather a collection of bones and organs to construct a friend for yourself. The game consists of exploring town and solving puzzles and mini-games to collect all the pieces necessary.
This game exudes charm and calm. The music is fantastic, and the artwork is incredibly unique and sweet. Discovering skeleton versions of dogs, rats, and birds was delightful and kept exploration exciting and entertaining.

The puzzles are creative and unique; they provide just enough challenge to be stimulating but never too much to cause frustration or exhaustion. My favorite puzzles were the matching puzzles and zen sandbox variants.
If you’re looking for a relaxing game that will help you escape from the stressors of life, I highly recommend you check out Birth. You can expect a two- to three-hour experience for this $10 (USD) game.
Tell us what you think! Have you played Birth? What’s your favorite cozy game? Share your reactions in the comments below or join the discussion on Boss Rush Network’s Discord, Facebook, and Twitter.
