Set your Alarmos because Nintendo has revealed the exact time for their NIntendo Switch 2 Reveal Direct on April 2nd. The company has stated that their presentation will be set for 9:00 AM ET / 6:00 AM PT, which is 11:00 PM in Japan. This is quite early, especially for the west coast, but it will make for a talking point on many channels that day and the rest of the week. We will be recording a Nintendo Direct Recap Show that night as well. Stay tuned for details.

1:51:28 – Nintendo to Take All Possible Measures Against Scalpers

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has stated that the company will take all possible measures to combat scalpers and stock shortages for the upcoming Switch 2 launch. With analysts predicting strong demand, Nintendo is preparing to ensure adequate supply. A Nintendo Direct on April 2 will showcase the Switch 2, followed by global hands-on events in April and May.

Nintendo Switch sales have surpassed 150 million units, nearing the Nintendo DS’s 154.02 million but still trailing the PlayStation 2’s 160 million+. In Q3 FY2025, 4.82 million Switch units were sold, a decline from 6.9 million the previous year. Software sales also dropped to 53.7 million from 66.87 million. Nintendo adjusted its sales forecast to 11 million units for the fiscal year, attributing last year’s stronger performance to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Nintendo Updates their top ten best selling games on Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo’s latest update on the best-selling Switch games shows that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remains the top seller, followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While the rankings haven’t changed, each game has reached new sales milestones, reflecting the Switch’s enduring popularity. With Switch 2 on the way, future updates may see new titles reshaping the list.
