Today, I had the chance to try out five minutes of the game, A Corgi’s Cozy Hike from Scalisco. It released just today fully, so be sure to check it out if the game interests you!
The game is about a super Corgi with special abilities to make traveling around easier. The game is all about making new friends and exploring, having a relaxing experience with a cute dog.

The art style was very appealing with bright colors. The game definitely is catered for a younger audience. While at the booth, I had the pleasure of watching multiple kids play the demo, and it was a blast! They had such fun with the cast of characters and found it greatly entertaining that the main Corgi had a variety of actions like peeing on the fire hydrants to unlock the map or taking a poo with the option to eat it.

They seemed to do well with the controls as well. When it came to my turn, I saw why. It was pretty fluid and easy to pick up. I’m usually not that great with controller but the game made it simple to maneuver around.
I did have a bit of nausea while playing, but I do easily get motion sickness that I often need to adjust settings. Hopefully that is an option with the full release for anyone who is sensitive to camera motion and swerving like I am.

I especially enjoyed the small bit of diversity I saw. In the demo, I encountered a cat with a peg leg, who despite it’s compatriots attempting other animals from rock climbing, this cat was adamant that anyone could rock climb if the cat was a phenomenal climber with a peg. It was a sweet moment knowing that there are many animals who are born with disabilities but live their lives out anyways as comfortable as they can be.
Do you see yourself purchasing this game or purchasing it for someone else? What kind of dog would you have wanted as the main character if not a corgi? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below or in our Boss Rush Discord!
