PAX East 2026

Anshar Publishing showcased two very different but very striking indie games at the Games from Poland booth this year. In speaking with the Anshar Publishing representative, I was able to learn about how their go about selecting titles for representation and details on the featured titles, Mold Washer and Whispers of the Eyeless.

Mold Washer

As the title suggests, you are in charge of washing away mold. In Mold Washer, you play as a food item — in this case, a nigiri sushi who essentially must power wash mold from the refrigerator and beyond. It very much is Power Wash Simulator in spirit but with the Unpacking aesthetic.

As you clean various environments, you can pick up stickers to decorate your room as well as uncover CDs that will allow you to customize the music you listen to during gameplay. There are two currencies you collect, and of course, you can obtain various tools for your job. A unique twist is that the mold can grow back. You don’t just spray and then you’re done. Nope. Sometimes, you need to think strategically to stay one step ahead of that gross mold!

The pixel art is adorable, and the colors pop. Yes, even the disgusting mold. The music locks you in, and I found myself bopping to the beat. Mold Washer has enough of its own identity to stand out from the titan that is Power Wash Simulator, and I cheered with delight as the final mission in the demo revealed the Steam code and welcome to wish list it. The rep from Anshar Publishing stated that while development is not complete, we can anticipate approximately four hours of playtime and more food characters.

Mold Washer was created by a single developer from Belarus under the name of Rubel Games. The title is set to release on PC (Steam), although there are hopes that one day it can make it onto console. Whispers of the Eyeless

Now onto something totally different. Whispers of the Eyeless is developed by Evil Gingerbread Studios and is a roguelike dark fantasy with turn-based combat. The twist here is you play as a cult leader, and therefore, very far from a hero. If anything, you’re more like a villain. The game released almost a year ago on March 17th, 2025 and has mostly positive reviews on Steam to date.

While I did not get to play the demo, I was able to learn more about the game by speaking with the Anshar Publishing rep and observing other people play. There are two modes in the game, a story mode and a roguelike mode for those that just want to experience more gameplay.

In Whispers of the Eyeless, you grow as a prophet and cult leader. Decisions will matter as you manage your disciples, battle against foes and creatures, all while keeping your sanity and physical health intact. The idol(s) you worship are Wrath, Desire, or Madness. There is so much to explore and many ways to build up your character. The visuals are also striking. The hand drawn art fits in with the theming, and one passerby commented that it looked a lot like Darkest Dungeon.

Whispers of the Eyeless is currently available on Steam, and if you are reading this around the time of this article’s publication, there is a sale going on until March 31st, 2026. Take advantage of that sale if this game strikes a chord with you.
