Amid Soaring Skyward Sword HD Sales, Zelda & Loftwing amiibo Flight is Delayed

The News:

If you were super excited to receive your Zelda & Loftwing amiibo today, you may have to wait a bit longer. Though some received the beautiful looking collectible, others may be disappointed to find out that Nintendo has given a statement through IGN earlier today that stating that because of “unforeseen” issues, the amiibo will see shipping delays in the United States. Most of the amiibo will not show up until early August. See the statement from Nintendo below:

“The Zelda & Loftwing amiibo figure is currently impacted by unforeseen shipping delays. As a result, only a small portion of the Zelda & Loftwing will be available on its scheduled July 16 launch date. Additional shipments are delayed until August. We will ship additional amiibo to retailers as soon as they arrive.”

Reactions:

I personally can confirm that mine will be arriving on August 4, assuming no further delays arise. I hope that this does not affect anyone’s playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD that also released today. It’s a bit disappointing that something so significant to the gameplay experience has been delayed. Still more frustrating, many have been unable to secure a Zelda & Loftwing amiibo at all, something it would seem that Nintendo could easily fix.

Tell us what you think! Has your Zelda & Loftwing amiibo been delayed or were you one of the lucky ones?  Have you been able to secure one of these coveted collectibles. Share your reactions in the comments below or join the conversation on Boss Rush Discord.
