Eastward, From Publisher of Stardew Valley, Coming to Switch in September

The long anticipated adventure game Eastward has been revealed as coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 16th, with pre-orders available now. The announcement comes during today’s Indie World Showcase.

Eastward is the first game from developer Pixpil, and is being published by Chucklefish, best known for Stardew Valley and Risk of Rain.

In Eastward, players will assume the roles of protagonists John and Sam as they journey across a world devastated by a deadly miasma. The developer promises that the game will have numerous cities to discover, as well as plenty of dungeons filled with hideous monsters and tricky puzzles to solve.

The soundtrack is composed by Joel Corelitz, who has previously worked on the game’s Hohokum, The Unfinished Swan, The Tomorrow Children, and Gorogoa.

Will you be picking up Eastward when it releases in September? What are you most excited to experience in this game? I’d love to know your thoughts!
