September will hit MLB within the next few days and that means we are just four weeks away from the MLB Playoffs! August was a huge month for baseball as teams like the Yankees, Giants, and Astros found new life within their rosters; however, teams like the Red Sox, Mariners, and pretty much the entire NL East collapsed. 

1. San Francisco Giants

The Giants are on a warpath to win the NL West, and if they keep on with their winning ways, they will not be caught. Kris Bryant has become the most clutch bat in this lineup but the pitching has been the dominant part of the Giant’s quest for glory. 

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

If a team can catch the Giants, it’s the Dodgers; this lineup is meant to win championships. The only question marks within this team are in the bullpen, and there really aren’t any options to get better this late in the season. 

3. Tampa Bay Rays

Noah Syndergaard should be back 100% this week giving the Rays the ace they need to win the AL East. 

4. Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers are enjoying the luxuries of having a really easy division. The Reds are slowing down, the Cardinals haven’t been relevant since June, the Cubs are laughable at best, and the Pirates can barely go four games without having a multiple error game. 

5. New York Yankees

The Yankees are 21-4 since the trade deadline–21-4 SINCE THE DEADLINE, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The Yankees are on fire and easily the best team in the majors in the month of August; it’s scary how good the Yankees are right now. I think the Yankees will steal the division title from the Rays in the last week of the season. 

6. Chicago White Sox

The White Sox are similar to the Brewers in the way that they play in a really easy division. Enjoy this while you can White Sox fans; the Royals have three of the four best HR hitters in the minors coming up next year, and the Indians have the pieces to be really competitive next year. 

7. Boston Red Sox

I hear the cries coming from Boston to fire Alex Cora–not yet my friends. Give him another season before you cut the ax on a manager who I genuinely love. 

8. Houston Astros
9. Oakland Athletics 

Tyler Chafin in green is a sight I will never get used to. 

10. Cincinnati Reds

The Reds are slowing down, but Nick Castellanos continues to be lights out at the plate. Rumors are circulating that Castellanos will opt for free agency in the off-season, and if this happens, I think there’s a chance that the Reds will go after a big name in free agency. 

11. Seattle Mariners

The Mariners are in the 11 spot today because I refuse to put any team from the NL East in the top 11. 

12. Atlanta Braves

The Braves will win the NL East by being mediocre; the Braves also luck out on the fact that the Mets are likely shutting Jacob DeGrom down for the rest of the season. 

13. San Diego Padres

I feel so bad for Padres fans; outside of Tatis Jr. this lineup is falling apart. 

14. Toronto Blue Jays
15. St. Louis Cardinals 
16. Cleveland Indians

Watch the Indians over the next few weeks; I have heard rumors that they will start retooling for next year as early as they can. 

17. Philadelphia Phillies
18. Los Angeles Angels
19. New York Mets

The Mets have fallen to third in the division, and they can only blame themselves. I think the Mets are in big trouble going forward because players like Javy Baez (who they traded for at the deadline) are already acting like they don’t want to return for next season. 

20. Detroit Tigers
21. Colorado Rockies
22. Kansas City Royals

Salvador Perez is a BEAST! 

23. Chicago Cubs

If there is any silver lining for Cubs fans, it’s that Patrick Wisdom is solidifying himself as a force at the plate. 

24. Minnesota Twins

The Twins are in last place in the AL Central. HOW?

26. Miami Marlins
27. Pittsburgh Pirates
28. Texas Rangers
29. Arizona Diamondbacks
30. Baltimore Orioles
