Capturing gameplay and images is quick and easy to do now on consoles, but sharing that media can be a bit of a chore to share with others. Currently you need to use your PS5 DualSense controller to navigate to your Media Gallery, select the image or video clip and choose Share, select which social media account, add text to the message, and finally Send the media. However, an easier method has been recently discovered, but has now become unavailable. I tried this myself and confirmed it is no longer available.
The new method will allow users to link the media captured from their PS5 to the PS App on their phone. This will allow users to quickly add text to their media and allow the user the ability to share gameplay moments while away from their console. Beta testing for this feature began last October in Japan and Canada and it appears that the feature may be coming to PS5 soon. Some speculate this move will be made just in time for some major February releases such as Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West.
