What does the month of April have in store for indie games? Let’s find out by checking a list of indie games releasing this month. I’ve taken the time to highlight on a few that peak my interest, followed by a list of more great looking games!
tERRORbane:
Developer: BitNine Studio
Publisher: WhisperGames
Platforms: Nintendo Switch and PC
Release Date: April 1, 2022
Let’s start it off with tERRORbane. This is a comedy adventure game with constant genre swapping. The purpose of the game is to find and exploit bugs within the game. This game apparently has multiple endings and different ways to play, which makes for good replay value. You travel through the story finding glitches and game breaking bugs to progress while communicating with the Developer. Is this an April Fools joke? This is no joke, but you can get a taste of the developers humor in the trailer below!
This unique looking experience is available now on the eShop for $15.99 (USD).
AstroDogs
Developer: Dynamic Media Triad
Publisher: Digital Tribe
Platforms: Nintendo Switch and PC
Release Date: April 8, 2022
How about AstroDogs? This on-rails arcade action game looks like a blast for Starfox fans! This game is full of bright colors that remind me of the cel-shading art style. A team of galactic dogs in spaceships firing artillery at an abundance of enemies! Looks very fast paced and exciting! Now available on the Nintendo eShop for $12.99 (USD).
Nobody Saves The World

Nobody Saves the World, literally… Nobody! You’ll play as a character named Nobody.

Ganryu 2 – Hakuma Kojiro
Developer: Storybird Studio
Publisher: Just For Games
Platforms: PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch
Release Date: April 21, 2022
Ganryu 2 – Hakuma Kojiro is an 2-D arcade platformer set in feudal fantasy Japan. The story
revolves around your character Miyamoto Musashi as you travel through a 17th century Japan
on a quest to fight off Musashi’s old demons! This fast paced platformer looks like a non stop
action joy ride! Available for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop for $19.99 (USD).
Parkasaurus
Developer: Washbear Studio
Publisher: Washbear Studio
Platforms: Nintendo Switch & PC
Release Date: April 28, 2022
If you’re a fan of Construction & management simulation games, Parkasaurus may be the game for you. In this game the player will build and manage a dinosaur zoo! As most zoo simulation games, you will have to build your exhibits, care for your dinosaurs and manage your park, funds and staff. One unique quality in the game I noticed is that the player can design each exhibit freely. Maybe your dinosaurs need more privacy or a nice lake to keep them happy. You don’t want angry dinosaurs, do you? Can you handle the pressure of one of your dinosaurs escaping and reigning terror on park pedestrians or will you have enough safety precautions to provide a safe experience? The possibilities seem endless in Parkasaurus, which comes soon to the Nintendo eShop for $24.99 (USD).
