Sony has finally announced the release date for the much anticipated sequel in the God of War series via Twitter this morning. God of War Ragnarök, the follow up to the 2018 PS4 hit will arrive on PS4 and PS5 on November, 9th 2022. The announcement also revealed a new cinematic trailer of Kratos and Atreus fighting enemies together and preparing for a giant wolf enemy as they prepare for Ragnarök.
Details regarding the different editions were also announced, which include: Standard, Digital Deluxe, Collectors, and Jötnar Editions. If you choose to pick up the PS4 version, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10 as well. Preorders will start on July 15th at 10am local time.
